About Ali & His Approach
Getting Started
For Support Coordinators
Who do you work with?
I work with a wide range of participants across all ages and disabilities. Over my four years in support work I’ve supported children and adults with ASD, psychosocial disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and more. Every participant is different and I pride myself on tailoring my approach to meet each person where they’re at.
What types of support do you offer?
I offer both in-home support and community access. Whether it’s building daily routines and structure at home, or getting out into the community and working on real-life skills and independence, I’m here for it. Support is always tailored to what the participant actually needs.
What areas do you cover?
I’m based in Bayside Sydney but I travel all across Sydney for my participants. If you’re unsure whether I cover your area, just reach out — I’m flexible and always happy to discuss what works for both of us.
Are you a registered NDIS provider?
I am an unregistered independent support worker. This means I can work with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. Unfortunately I’m unable to work with NDIA-managed participants at this stage. If you’re unsure which management type applies to you, check your NDIS plan or speak with your support coordinator — and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
What makes you different from other support workers?
A few things. I invest in my own development through continuous behaviour support practitioner training so the people I support get the best version of me. I genuinely care about building structure and stability — not just ticking boxes. And I bring four years of hands-on experience across a wide range of participants and disabilities. I also love what I do, and I think that shows.
How do I get started?
It’s simple. Fill out the referral enquiry form on this website. Once I receive it I’ll give you a call to have a chat, learn more about what you’re looking for, and see if I’m the right fit. From there we arrange a free meet and greet before anything is locked in.
Do you do a meet and greet before starting?
Always. I offer a free meet and greet for every new participant before we commit to anything. Sometimes we grab a coffee, sometimes I take them out to fly a drone — whatever helps the participant feel comfortable and at ease around me. Getting that connection right from the start is everything.
What are your availability and hours?
Availability depends on the participant’s needs and what works best for both of us. I’m flexible and always happy to discuss scheduling after you fill out the enquiry form. The best way to figure out if my availability suits you is to jump on a call and go through it together.
What are your rates?
Rates are discussed directly after we connect and establish that we’re a good fit. Fill out the enquiry form and we’ll go through everything on our call.
How do referrals work?
Simply fill out the referral enquiry form on this website with the participant’s details and support needs. I’ll review it and be in touch promptly to discuss fit, availability, and next steps. I aim to make the process as smooth as possible for coordinators.
What documentation do you provide?
I provide structured progress notes, incident reports when required, and regular communication to keep coordinators informed. I take documentation seriously and understand how important it is for the coordination team to stay across a participant’s supports.
How do you communicate with the coordination team?
I’m responsive, professional and easy to reach. I believe in keeping coordinators in the loop without them having to chase me. Whether it’s a quick update, a progress note or flagging something that needs attention — I’ve got it covered.
